Term Definition
Big Happies

Hi Jane, I think my toddler has the best name of all! Big happies!

Bilk

My daughter Olivia, 22 months, calls breastmilk "Bilk"! She mispronounces milk, or a nice combo of breast and milk....when she switches sides, many times per session now, she calls out "Udder one!!! Udder one!!" Again, mispronouncing, but kinda funny double meaning!!!

Bip

My daughter always called breastfeeding ''Bip''. I''ve no idea how she found this term but it''s quite polite in public! I now work in ear, nose and throat operating theatres and one dressing is called BIPP, which is ''bismuth iodoform paraffin paste'' so it always makes me smile when it is used as I think of my daughter.

Boo

My daughter always left the consonants off the ends of her words, hence it became just "boo." She nursed until she was 3 1/2. She still calls it "boo" when she watches her baby brother nurse. Great website!

Boo (2)

I fed my eldest daughter for 22 months, she started softly whispering "boo" when she was around 17 months just before a feed. I eventually persuaded her to give up by saying "boos gone nigh nighs" and she accepted it. I had become pregnant with my second daughter and found feeding difficult. I am still feeding my 12 month old daughter, and my eldest has always told me that when she cries, she really needs her "boo milk". I hope to continue feeding her for another year.

Boo boo

My 2 y/o Olivia calls them "boo boo". It's so pitiful sounding when she cries that word.

Boo Da Da / Nur

Elizabeth Blue (3yrs old) first called it "boo da da" which I interpreted as my telling her "let me get the buttons undone!!!"

Dottie (2 yrs old) picked up on big sister''s variations & until recently asked to "nur" But now, they are both asking for mommy milk from the "nursery" Makes sense to me!

Boo-Boo Milk

My daughters call it "boo boo milk".

Boo-boo Time

My daughter still calls it "boo-boo time". She's three..and still nursing strong.

Boo-boos

My "boo-boos" have been in daily service for 6 years now.

When I was pregnant with my second and nursing was painful, Molly, my oldest, used to ask for "boo-boos to 20" Nursing definitely helped her counting skills. When she was 4 she told my parents she wanted to be a boo-boo for halloween.

When my second kid, Scott, was 2, he used to say "shut da door, dis one-un-un" when he wanted to switch sides. He used to also request the "big one". And here at my breast, right this minute, is Cameron, my 6-month-old daughter. Can't wait to hear what she will have to say about it!

Boob boob nursey nursey

Boob, boob, nursey, nursey!! Is what my 18 month old calls nursing. My cousins 14 month old calls it bob!

Booba / Boobama

Boobie

My 15 months old daughter started to call it Boobie about a month ago. I guess because I called it like that since day one. I guess kid just repeat what you decide to call it yourself.

Boobie Milk

My 10 year old daughter whom I still breastfeed for some bonding time before she goes to bed calls them Boobie Milk. So does my 6 year old daughter. Sometimes they suckle together.

Boobie-juice

When my four-year old first started talking she referred to breast milk as "boobie juice".
