Term Definition
Boobies

Both my children, Craig who is 10 and Cameron who is 20 months called it boobies. The word came naturally to both of them and they could both say it and be understood at an early age. Craig breastfed until he was two and a half and Cameron is still breastfeeding even though i just recently found out I am pregnant again.

Boobies Pease!

Boobies Please! (first side); Other Side Pease! (second side)

Our 21 month old calls them "Boobies Pease!" until he drinks from the first side (which he always chooses) then he says Dank Do, Other Side Pease! I can never refuse such a polite request no matter where we are!

Booboo

My son refered to it as booboo. When I would offer the breast he would squeal and say booboo. Sometimes I didn't know if it was the breast he was referring to or our dog, whose name is Boo Boo. I enjoyed nursing both of my children, my daughter is 10 and she said she remembers nursing.

Booby

My 2 year old daughter calls breastfeeding booby. It was one of her first words and is never mistaken with any other, although she does have similar others.

Booby (2)

My 14 month old son Tiger doesn't have a word for them yet but we call them "Booby" and that's what he understands them to be BUT he does do baby signing and has been doing the baby sign for "milk" when we say do you want "booby" for 4 months now. (The sign is an open and closing fist as if milking a cow!)

Love your site,

Booby / Mil / Milk

Booby Juice

We call it booby juice, always have, so I guess Ferg's will do the same. He quite often, now, wants to help himself by pulling up my clothes, creating a very over excitable, rasping, gasping of breaths through a huge smile.....it makes us all laugh every time......

Booby milk

My 19 month old son asks first for "booby milk" and when he has had enough of one he will cover it and say (loudly) "side" Thanks for inspiring page I was about to give up because I though he was getting a bit old, now I will carry on now I know I'm not the only one.

Booby Pie

Dear Jane,

my son, who will be 3 in Feb, calls it "booby pie", I have no idea where this has come from but i love it!

Booey

My 15 month old daughter calls it Booey. Short for booby milk I think, which is what I called it before she named it herself.

Boom-boom

My daughter nursed until the age of 21/2 years. I have not idea where she came up with the name boom-boom but I found it very amusing! Friends and family didn't necessarily find it so amusing at first but soon couldn't resist the humor in the fact that she was calling my B cups "boom-booms."

Booooby

Hi, my three year old son calls his meal "Boooooooby" really loud so that everyone looks and I get some strange looks when I''m in the middle of breastfeeding my 11 month old daughter. All fun and games.

He did this the other week on the train when I was amongst this group of bikey looking men. I could honestly say that this was the first time that I got really embarrassed feeding both and being very exposed and there was no way I was going to try and negotiate for him to wait because he was tired and it would have only drawn more attention. Anyway, it's a good story to remember.

Boooooo / mum mum booooo

This is what my 8 month old daughter asks for when she wants a breastfeed. she has been saying this not since she was 6 months. we taught her boooo and she ofetn asks for mum mum boooo.

Boos / Boo Juice

My daughter who after hearing people call them boobs would say that to her baby sister who would then call them her boos and boo juice.

Boos mom / Boo boos

I have two sons. my now four year old quit when he was almost two. I got pregnant and he quit. How sad! He used to call them "boos mom" and when he saw them his whole face would light up and he would shake his hand and smile so big and make a huffing sound. It was so cute. Now my 16 month old says "boo boos" also and he just started when I lift my shirt to smile so big and clap his hands together and hold out his tongue. It's so cute. I love it. I now one day he will wake up and never nurse again. So when I think I've had my fill I just remember that. I have never hear a mom say she wished see would have weaned earlier. I have only heard regret for weaning. So he can have his "boo boos" for as long as he wants.
